This is numéro deux of a four piece series, an outworking of four visual poems, ones that must be seen, to be fully understood, where the verbal and visual draw strength from each other to produce greater meaning.
This was a beautiful coming together of minds, hands and ideas, where limits were not within the peripheral and play was the precursor. Lean into this joining of hands, where language is turned into art.
Importantly, lean into part one here for the preface of this four piece visual poetry series.

A song that hold hands fondly with this lyrical piece, listen with the reading, or soon after.
Tomorrow when things were beautiful
faire face à la lune / face the moon
Are you in the deep,
fumbling for the light?
Adhere, sweet child,
there’s much to be found
in the hidden places.Â
Are your eyes facing north,
the change written brightly on the sun?
Run into the rays.Â
Is your heart hungry for truth & flowers?
Eat such things for breakfast.Â
Are the hands of the moon,
tugging at your dress?
begging
begging
begging
of you
to undo
unfold…
a breath…
…and there she goes again,
taking water from your eyes,
surely if she sets the seas,
she guides ones tears like tides
and
tomorrow
when
things
were
beautiful…
… you’ll surely not forget,
all the tears
that soaked such paths,
where
softness
now
beget.

Coming soon,
A continuum of this current co-creation you have been reading aka ‘Sun-speak’ + ‘Tomorrow when things were beautiful’— An outworking of two more visual poems, ones that must be seen, to be fully understood, where the verbal and visual draw strength from each other to produce greater meaning.
Also, Expect a photographical play by play, a visual write up that you never asked for after my camera feasted on at least 12 rolls of film during the festivities of my 40th bday, gathered in the kindness of women—womankind. I have a piece bubbling over, inspired by the women I know and love. This will release on my actual birthday, the 12th of December. I look forward to sharing my entire heart in this piece along with 40 reflections from 40 years on earth.
Thank you again for being here as a reader, it means the world to me.
Choosing to sow into ‘Catching Shower Flowers’ as a paid subscriber is a generous acknowledgment that you value what you read here. Thank you for the opportunity to push my own limits and find the words begging to be found, just beneath the words on top.
I have some big plans for ‘Catching Shower Flowers’ in 2024 after gently dipping my toes in the water here over the past 6 months. I hope you are ready for all that will unfold in the coming months as I sink in further, making home here, moving gently into some new mediums that will partner exquisitely with my prose and poetry (and longer bodies of writing)… beautiful things are in the dreaming. Thank you for journeying with me in the early days of this discipline, it is because of you that I can dream a little wider…
Love (and flowers)
Just because I love you…
Beautiful, dreamy and inspiring
Absolute divinity.
