“When imagination returns, it means we are back in our body”.

Written as bold clarity, a statement from my younger self, but definitely not written from clarity. Quite the opposite—born from a long season of major dilemma, from confusion, from loss, from discovery, from un-learning. Reverse engineer this prose and you’ll see what’s inside of it.

To name imagination’s return, I must have known its absence first. To write of being back in the body, I had to have stepped out of it for a time,

only then could I say it so plainly—
