Closing Thoughts: Why not make it beautiful?
As we conclude this exploration, I find myself reflecting on the conversations we've had over the past few months—through them, I've come to realise that being a collector of beauty is more than just seeking an escape route; but a deliberate act of intention—
I want to call it an art form, one that reshapes how we engage with life.
Discovering beauty is about making a conscious choice to fully embrace our existence, to find and celebrate the remarkable within the ordinary parts of everyday.
We can choose to live not as passive observers but as engaged participants, unfolding into a life brimming with intention.
I believe the human heart is always yearning for earmarks of something eternal… Mary Oliver beautifully captures this idea when she says, “Maybe the desire to make something beautiful is the piece of God that is inside each of us.” This thought reminds us that our pursuit of beauty is a way to touch something greater than ourselves, an invitation to unfold as maybe we were innately meant to.
The reflections you have so generously shared throughout this inquiry have painted a rich landscape of how beauty ties us to our truest selves and each other; a journey back to that childlike wonder, where moments of softness have place — where we begin to simply notice (an art form of its own).
Your insights and support have breathed so much life into this exploration, and for this I am truly grateful.
I invite you to become an active participant in your own life, seeking, collecting, and noticing the beauty in the small details that make up your every day.
Love and caught flowers,
Tess
