Dear reader,

Welcome to archival moment no.2, a growing series that allows me to catalogue the visual work I put my hands to outside of writing—Art of its own kind that deserves to call ‘Catching Shower Flowers’ a home too.

So here’s numero deux — some colourful captures of a fun morning at home with my daughters. This era, sees us co-creating, not just in the realms of my work as an artist but in the daily rhythms and projects each of my daughters likes to immerse in creatively—Whether it’s a day of beading, crocheting, finding treasure in the garden, collecting bugs, theatrical home shows— I am witnessing creative process unfold in real-time in ways that are of second nature to them, it’s the biggest privilege as a mother to see them sitting at home in their individual and unique ways of expressions.

In more subtle ways, my daughters have always been involved in my craft, my work as an artist is executed very rhythmically throughout my life—it has not been uncommon for there to be a photoshoot taking place in our home, or a poetry recital at play over dinner… they are constantly in amidst my creative experimentations and I, in theirs.

Creativity is not separate from our lives but a beautiful daily part of it.
